Using the software Arkio to reimagine a meeting ground for our loved ones, a new home was created

Reimagining Ancestry

Magnolia Archives is a reimagined, virtual reality interpretation of a family tree. It takes our connections, both through lineage and by choice, and creates a virtual social networking platform that elevates our interfamilial experiences.

With users creating their own virtual home bases, or meeting points, Magnolia Archives becomes a platform where users create their own safe and self-governed spaces.

There is a place in the platform for all ages, with ranges of self-autonomy based on the settings from the “admin member.”

There is dedicated space for members to use photogrammetry and 360-degree photography to include stronger representations of family heirlooms and important places.

Magnolia Archives is a proof of concept for a 4D family tree. It revolutionizes archival storage and sets up future generations for success by highlighting important aspects from their past.
